Cookie Policy

This policy explains how LedgerKest uses cookies and similar technologies on ledgerkest.com. It sets out the categories of cookies the site uses, what each category does, and the controls available to you in your own browser. The site is operated from Chicago, Illinois, United States.

It applies to every page on this domain, including our guides, comparison pages and policy pages. Reading it takes a few minutes, and nothing here changes the choices your browser already gives you.

The page this policy sits on

Worked pages, checked rows, and the small state files that keep a form honest when it is submitted.

Two categories, no more

Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working. Analytics cookies tell us which pages are read. There are no advertising cookies here, and no tracking across other websites.

What a cookie is

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They let the site remember information between visits, such as a preference you set, and they help the site's operators understand how visitors use the pages. A cookie is tied to the browser that received it, not to your identity.

Some cookies are set by the site itself; others are set by third-party services the site uses, such as hosting and analytics. A cookie can last for a single visit or persist for longer, depending on what it is for.

In practice on this site

  • Remember a submitted form Necessary
  • Protect against misuse Necessary
  • See which pages are read Analytics
  • Advertise to you elsewhere Not used

Categories of cookies we use

The site uses two categories and only two. Strictly necessary cookies support basic functions such as form submission and security. Analytics cookies help us understand which pages are read and how visitors move through the site. We do not use advertising cookies or cookies that track you across other websites.

Strictly necessary Required for the site to work: session handling, form submission memory, and protection against misuse. Cannot be switched off through site controls.
Analytics Aggregate information about pages visited and how long a visit lasts. Used to improve content; not used to identify individual visitors.
Advertising Not used on this site. We do not run advertising cookies and we do not build cross-site profiles from your visit.
Social plug-ins Not used on this site. Pages do not load embedded players or third-party comment widgets that would set their own cookies.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the site to work. They handle functions such as remembering that a form has been submitted and protecting against misuse. Because they are necessary, they cannot be turned off through the site's controls, though you can block them in your browser, which may affect how the site works.

If you block them, expect two visible effects: the contact form may not confirm your message, and some pages may ask you for the same information more than once.

Analytics cookies

Analytics cookies collect information about how visitors use the site, such as which pages are visited and how long a visit lasts. The information is used in aggregate to improve the content. We do not use analytics to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine it with the information you provide through the contact form.

If you prefer not to be counted, your browser settings can block these cookies without affecting how the guides and policy pages read.

Providers we work with

Third-party services

The site uses third-party services for hosting and analytics. These providers may set their own cookies as part of delivering their service. Their use of information is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one. We choose providers that limit data use to the service they provide to us.

If a provider changes what it collects, we update this page and the revision date at the top so you can see when the description last changed.

What we ask of a provider

  • Use of data limited to the service they deliver to us.
  • No sale of visitor information to other parties.
  • A published privacy policy we can link to.
  • A way to remove their cookies from your browser.

Your controls

Managing cookies in your browser

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or delete cookies after each session. The help section of your browser explains how for your specific version.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working, such as the contact form.

Choosing a setting

Allow everything Forms work, and page reading is counted in aggregate. This is the setting the site is built and tested against.
Block third-party only Site functions continue to work. Aggregate reading figures become less complete, which is a fair trade if you prefer it.
Block all cookies Pages still load. The contact form may not confirm a submission, and you may be asked for the same details twice.
Clear after each session Nothing persists between visits. Useful on a shared computer; expect to re-enter details on each visit.

Signals and revisions

Do Not Track and similar signals

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard for how sites should respond to it. This site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals, but it does not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking, so the practical effect is limited.

If a common standard is agreed, we will revisit this section and say so here rather than quietly change behaviour.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the cookies used on the site change or if the law requires it. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.

Material changes — a new cookie category, or a change of analytics provider — are described in plain language, not only marked with a new date.

Contact for cookie questions

Questions about this policy can be sent to our contact page or by post to LedgerKest, 452 Maple Avenue, Suite 200, Chicago, IL 60607, USA. The phone number is +1-312-558-5102, and the office is open Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Email sent to [email protected] reaches the same team. If your question is about the personal information we hold rather than about cookies, the privacy policy is the better place to start.

Checked and dated

Two categories, reviewed each time the site changes

If you only remember one thing from this page: strictly necessary cookies keep the forms working, analytics cookies tell us which guides are worth updating, and nothing here follows you to other websites.

Last revised 22 October 2026. If the categories above ever change, this date changes with them.
